Designation : Senior Software Engineer, Testing
Job Description :
Purpose
We are seeking for experienced test engineers with proven ability and Good knowledge of QA and in-depth understanding of software development life cycle from functional requirement gathering to the design and execution of automated and manual tests.

We are looking for highly motivated individual with 5+ years of in testing and designing tools. Previous QA and software engineering experience in the areas of networking and server/client is preferred.

Responsibilities
•Review Bug descriptions, functional requirements and design documents and works closely with developers to design test criteria and develop a test plan
•Performs manual functional tests as well as large-scale system tests
•Creates and enhances automated test scripts
•Perform problem analysis to determine if there is a valid bug
•Log and track defects to closure
•Provide coaching, mentoring and training to other team members
•Demonstrates competence and self-motivation in analyzing problems and getting to the root
Desired Profile
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 Years of experience in test engineering
•Unix/Linux experience required
•Scripting knowledge of Perl/Python/TCL
•BE in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent required
•Experience supporting testing activities for multiple applications/releases preferred
•Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills required
•Previous work experience and hands-on knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP and Streaming
•Working knowledge of using databases (Oracle/MySQL)
•Experience with Apache and application servers like Tomcat preferred
•Excellent written and oral communication
