Christmas celebrations may have been over, but the party continued. On 26th December 2000 the very popular web site www.koramangala.com had a big bash at The Koramangala Club, to celebrate its second anniversary. The Club premises were all lit up and as guests started arriving, web site founders Balbir Singh and his wife, Amrit accompanied by their younger son, Rosan Sethi wore broad smiles as they received them. It was a proud moment for the family. The year 2000 had been pretty good for them considering the global coverage the web site received from the International media.

Balbir Singh led the audience through a Power Point presentation highlighting the many achievements of Koramangala.com during the year. As slide after slide showed pictures of the husband-wife team that not too far back flashed in magazines in the US and Spain, and on French television, the 150-odd people watched with amazement at the amount of effort and work gone into the site over the last two years. Appropriately, the white colored handout that was circulated to all the guests had a big, red splash with the caption "We've made quite a Splash this year, Globally".

Acknowledging the support of Rage Communications in his very brief 'thank you' message, Balbir Singh said, "We wouldn't have got this far without their solid backing since inception. Also, the support and motivation we have consistently received from the Software companies has been instrumental in our pursuing vigorously this passion," he added. He made specific references to Texas Instruments, who sponsored the event, MindTree Consulting and Linc Software, who Balbir Singh said, "As always, have been there to help." Informing those present on Koramangala.com's recent tie-up with the popular jobsite, Jobstreet.com, he said, "We are extremely grateful to Jobstreet.com for the confidence shown in us and we hope to live up to their expectations."

Presentation over it was time to mingle with the guests and this time, some real heavyweights from the Industry were present. Ashok Soota and Subroto Bagchi, founders of MindTree Consulting, Srini Rajam, MD of Texas Instruments, Som Mittal, Chairman & CEO of Digital India accompanied by his charming wife Vidhu Mittal whose monthly recipes in "What's cooking, Vidhu?" is a popular feature on Koramangala.com. Then there was pretty Aparna from Network Solutions and of course, the ever-exuberant Chandra Kumar, MD of Linc Software, Muralidhar, India-Chief of the popular jobsite, Jobstreet.com along with Rohit Chadha, Marketing Manager. Also present was Mr. N. Viswanathan, President of The Koramangala Club and Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka. Gayatri Saberwal, a regular contributor to the web site through her excellent articles was also present. Sofia Tikko and S.P.Singh from the "Times of India", Vishwanathan and Srinivas Vardhan of TV Channel "TMG" with their crew, did a great job in covering the event.

Koramangala.com's very presence - online or offline - always brings about lots of color. This time the sparkle came from the presence of many pretty and elegantly clad women amongst the guests. McDowell & Company chipped in their bit by sponsoring their famous SIGNATURE brand of whisky and which no doubt, livened up things quite a bit. The food served was excellent and those who couldn't make it - well - that ought to be a pretty good second reason to be making it the next time.

The first of course will always be, Koramangala.com
