Kids Campus - a Learning Journey into the Child's Future!
IntroductionHere's a Pre-school that's all set to enrich young minds with knowledge and learning and put the world within the child's reach. It also helps that Kids Campus is an ISO 9001-2008 Certified International Pre-School.
The School
Door No. 43A, on 1st Main Road, in the 1st Block of Koramangala (near Wipro Park). Step inside and there's a riot in colour. Staring from the 'Play Zone' which has imported, non-toxic play equipment, to the class rooms with tiny-tot sized tables and chairs, to the wall painted animated characters in rich, bold colours, Kids Campus is the ideal environment to play, learn and have fun too.
Age Groups
The classes Kids Campus have been categorized as Play Group (1.5 years to 2.5 years); Pre-KG (2.5 to 3.5 years); Junior KG 3.5 to 4.5 years; Senior KG (4.5 to 5.5 years). No matter what the age group, the curriculum is age appropriate. In effect, what this means is that the child is encouraged to develop skills and knowledge through carefully structured play activities.
Curriculum
In line with current US practice, the curriculum at Kids Campus is organized into six main areas. These are:

Personal, Social and Emotional Development. Here the focus is on developing the child's confidence in meeting new people and new situations enabling them to become independent, develop their ability to understand, express their feelings and respect the beliefs and traditions of different cultures. |

Communication, Language and Literacy. The aim to get the child to develop important pre-reading, pre-writing, listening and speaking skills, as also inculcate in them the ability to listen and reflect on stories they hear. |

Mathematical Knowledge and Understanding. Through a wide range specially designed activities the child is given the opportunity to develop and understand numbers, the mathematical language of shape, size and position and simple problem solving. |

Knowledge and Understanding of the World. This focuses on the understanding of natural materials, the environment of the child, information technology skills through the use of computers and the ability to plan and design using construction kits and reclaimed material to make models.

Creative Development. Children get an opportunity to experience a variety of art activities, musical activities using instruments, singing and understanding music through movement, besides being taught to handle and control tools or instruments in an appropriate manner. |

Physical Development. An important aspect of child development is how they are guided through the process of developing their strength and skills through Physical Education, thereby increasing their agility, body control and motor skills through handling of equipment and toys. |
The Finer PointsThe curriculum, syllabus and training delivered at Kids Campus are at par with International Standards. The concept is time-tested and has been evolved by experts in the field. The teachers are extensively trained to deliver learning ensuring that the prime focus is always on child development and care, within the framework necessary to make appropriate, reasoned decisions.
Without regular analysis of progress any job remains half-done. At Kids Campus we have in-place a systematic approach to a wide variety of evaluation systems required to maintain the high level of standards we have set and fine-tune where required. This in turn means that there is regular interaction with parents to review the child's progress through feedback and discussions, ensuring that a 2-way relationship is maintained.
Further, Kids Campus has put in place a highly strict regime of periodic inspections of all equipment and play areas to ensure safety is never compromised upon.
